My wife loves it! At first she thought the paper seemed a bit rough but has grown to like it. Her pencil drawing has worked out well in it. She�s using it as an art journal and I can see her wanting to keep buying these for years to come.

Love it!! Got it as a gift for my 9 year old nephew and he loved it as well. The only negative aspect is the locking aspect. One, even with the lock on you can very well see what's on the pages through the top and bottom. And two, if the lock is on, I can manage to push it through the flap that goes over it so, if I wanted to, I could get it open. Still gave it 5 stars because I couldn't find anything near the size of this for this price while being this beautiful. I will probably order another at some point.

I wasn't expecting it to have lines, however I was surprised at how large it was. I know the size is in the description but I've had problems in the past with stuff not being accurate (clothes, posters, bottles and such..) -so in short it was a pleasant surprise to see an actual NICELY sized leather bound journal. The lock is super handy- and it comes with two keys, incase you lose one, and the lock itself has a cute little engraving on it, and the pages do AMAZING With gel or fountain pens, no smudges- no smearing- and NO BLEEDING THROUGH THE PAGES!

I know the jornal isn't the type you can refill with paper when you're done- and that's fair, in a personal opinion, I would rather buy another one of these instead of a paper refill that way the 1st one stays locked and secure, and I can continue writing without the hassle of keeping track of a loose book, I mean- if you pay for something to have a lock on it- the intention is to keep whatever is inside- safe.

But to make a long story short, I didn't think that when I bought this item would be making it into a tiny diary/scrapbook, but it works out well. I tape in Polaroids I take and write about it/draw/ sketch pictures in it.

I absolutely LOVE this journal, diary, or whatever. I am an artist so will use this for drawing and adding personal private notes. I solved the problem of being able to look at the writing by taking a 300 lb piece of watercolor paper and folding it over and around the leaves. Of course someone could remove it, but it would be obvious. Also, I don�t store it in an easily noticeable spot. I love how flat it lays. The paper is organic looking but very smooth. Exceptional product which zi will buy again. I will not refill it. I will buy another and keep this forever. I put one lock on my key ring but another on a different location.
